Training description

This training is designed for people working in a remote environment who want to increase their competencies in the area of intercultural communication. The training is most valuable for people working in intercultural teams or managing such teams.

The participants gain practical skills and knowledge which they can deploy right after the training. As a result, cooperation with people from different countries and cultures becomes more effective, friendlier and becomes an exciting challenge.

Duration: 6 modules, 3×45 min each.
Objective: Improving the cooperation within the team thanks to improved quality of communication between members from different cultures.

Detailed training objectives:

Learn about stereotypes, patterns and cultural differences in business

image

Become aware of differences in approach towards time, planning, deadlines (monochronism / polychronism) and their effect on your day to day job

Become aware of differences in approach towards hierarchy (cultures of low and high context), understanding the role of a boss in different countries and cultures, and their impact on day to day work

Acquire knowledge and skills to build trust and relationship with people from different cultural backgrounds

Improve communications skills across different channels of communication (email, IM, f2f) with co-workers from different cultures.

After the training, the participants will:

Be aware of basic differentiating factors in communication between different cultures

Be able to identify elements in communication that are characteristic to a culture that they work with

Know the characteristics of the culture that they belong to

Have a deeper understanding of the cultural backgrounds of different coworkers or partners

Be able to communicate in a more efficient way to reach their goals

Increase self-confidence in the intercultural settings relations and be able to appreciate cross-cultural relationships much more.

The training is run in a live, remote environment by a professional training consultant. It is supported by the latest technologies and tools that facilitate effective learning and active collaboration between the participants. It’s also split into short modules that makes it possible to run the training for groups split across multiple, even extreme timezones.
